What is the Cries of Freedom Curriculum?
What if U.S. history lessons allowed students to experience history personally?
The Cries of Freedom educational curriculum brings America’s founding story to life in a powerful and engaging way. Rather than simply teaching facts and timelines, this curriculum uses theater experiences and interactive learning to help students personally connect with the people, principles, and events that shaped the nation.
The curriculum includes 74 complete lesson plans (quizzes and handouts included) and 41 readers designed to inspire meaningful learning and discussion.
Available in paperback, digital eBook, and CD formats, Cries of Freedom can be tailored to fit your classroom or organization’s needs. When paired with experiences like the Freedom Gallery, it creates a deeper and more memorable educational experience.

All of these materials teach a passion for patriotism possessed by our founding fathers. The materials help to foster civic engagement, appreciation for our freedom, and greater understanding of rights and responsibilities of living in a democratic society.
